Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine' s enduring masterpiece, a musical of depth and humor, will be brought to the stage by Gateway's company of truly gifted, young performers. In this whimsical and thoughtful show, we ponder, “is a prince always the best catch? Are witches always wrong? Is a clumsy boy always worthless? Are Giants always to be feared and what about the Big Bad Wolf, is he our greatest enemy, or are we ourselves?” What starts out as a predictable fairy tale becomes a surprising and enlightening fable of hopes and dreams, love and loss and ever afters. We hope you'll come with us on our travels Into the Woods.
